Pilchards Pâté
Pâté lovers, we’ve got a treat for you!
Ingredients
- 60ml cooking oil
- 500g onions, chopped
- 3 tins Glenryck Pilchards in Six Gun Seasoned Sauce
- 3 tubs cream cheese
- Six Gun Grill Seasoning, to taste
- Hot Dogs rolls, sliced
- Oil, for brushing
Method
1. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the onions in the oil until soft.
2. Put the onions, 2 tins of Glenryck Pilchards in Six Gun Seasoned Sauce and cream cheese into a blender.
3. Blend until smooth. Taste for seasoning and add Six Gun Grill Seasoning if needed.
4. Add the 3rd tin of pilchards and pulse to form a course texture.
5. Brush the slices of bread with the oil and toast until crisp.
6. Spoon some pâté onto the toast and garnish.
